Real People... Creating Real Change
We view relationships as an important factor in psychological health. It is our belief that, regardless of the origin of the problem, and regardless of whether the clients consider it an “individual” or “family” issue, involving intimate partners in solutions is often beneficial.
We have a desire to make life better for people, an insatiable curiosity about human behavior, and the opportunity to understand ourselves by listening to and analyzing the thoughts and actions of others.
We enjoy time with people, feel energized by emotional exchanges, and are interested in people’s backgrounds. Furthermore, we are fascinated with human behavior and question what makes people tick.
Our therapeutic philosophies recognize the influence of circular causality on behavior and in maintaining negative patterns of interaction and communication. This is exemplified in how relationship pressures create stress which often leads to problems at home, school, or at work.

LICENSED CLINICAL ASSOCIATE
I fervently believe in, and am committed to the idea that healing occurs in the context of genuine connection. I have experience working with individuals living through grief and/or end-of-life challenges, and pride myself in creating a calming and safe space in therapy. Being a native-born Brazilian and having been raised in Africa, I also pride myself in being open-minded and bringing a multicultural perspective into the room as a clinician. Finally, as an AMFT, I look forward to sitting, exploring, and discovering thoughts and feelings with those who seek help.
