MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPIST ASSOCIATE, SUDP, MHP, CMHS

Do you ever feel like you’re alone in life, as if the world is resting on your shoulders? Maybe you take care of your partner and children, even your peers or pets, while no one takes care of you. It’s easy to get into a routine in life where you are always busy and consumed with responsibilities, but feel very little real connection. I help people who feel isolated or disconnected return to themselves and those they love. I treat people of all ages, including kids, teens, and adults. I often work military families in particular, who sometimes struggle with problems like relationships, anxiety, deployment, PTSD and depression.

I have experience providing services to children, youth, adults, couples and families in a mental health setting. My experience also includes providing substance use treatment, case management, resource referral, and significant time in the United States Navy. I work with folks to address anxiety, substance use, depression, PTSD, ADHD, gender identity exploration, life transitions, chronic illness, family dynamics, and relationship challenges. I have experience working with Veterans, parents, LGBTQ+ folks, neurodivergent folks, and non-monogamous folks.

I utilize a family systems, strength-based, trauma-informed perspective when working with clients. My training includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Clinical Trauma Treatment. I have experience providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Supportive Counseling, Motivational Interviewing, Family Therapy, the Gottman Method, and drawing on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy principles. I aim to provide individualized quality services to my clients.
